Newsflash

Kendra and I have always been very close. When Kendra was 9 years old Sharon and I took her to a Christmas Play at Woodstock First Baptist Church. When Pastor Johnny Hunt gave the invitation, Kendra went to the alter and asked if she was old enough to invite Jesus into her heart. In the next few weeks Kendra had her whole family in church. Thanks to Kendra my brother Perry was a dedicated Chistian.

I am very proud to be your Uncle D!

Perry's Family (Perry on Right)
Perry tragically died in an accident on a trip to the Honduras as a missionary to help others.

He grew up poor in the mountains of Tennessee. Growing up poor did not provide Perry with the opportunities that some enjoy in life, but he made up for it by working hard to provide for his family.

Perry had a dream that all of his children would be able to attend school and be presented with opportunites he never had.

So many of you have asked "What can I do to help?"  We are all called to make a difference in sad times such as this. There is a way that a lot of people can do a little that will end up going a long way. These children have been given a legacy by their father.

A leagacy to answer God's call upon your life and to go forward and make a difference.
Here's an opportunity for you to help.
You will be able to honor Perry's life by seeing that his precious children are able to attend school.

Sharon has set up an account for Perry's children.... in addition, Bob Bryson who was like a father figure to Perry has been added to the Perry Goad Children's Education Fund to help oversee the details.
