Sharon, I want you to know that I still tear up/cry when Perry and Ric's names are mentioned. People may think that its silly for me to do that, but they do not understand the relationship we had in Sunday School. This past February, I wanted to send you and Marsha a card. I spent over an hour looking for the card with the right saying on it and guess what, I couldn't find one. Then I thought, what do I really want to say and what can I say to these women that have lost their precious husbands? So I didn't send anything. I think what I want you to know is that Perry was a great guy (yes, I'm crying now) and I loved him like a brother (although he was the teacher's pet). I can still remember all of his mannerisms and the smile that was always on his face (and the devilish look he would get when he thought he was going to aggravate me). I know that God doesn't make mistakes and I also know that he must of needed a great guy in heaven. And he got it (times two). Always remember that Phillip and I are here for you if you need anything. Sharon, Kendra, Shay and Adam I just wanted to let you know how much we love you you all. Your family is so very special. Sarah and Es enjoyed all the vist's to your home. We were talking about Mr. Perry's birthday being this week and Es said his beard was one of the things she liked most about Perry. She said it was very ticklish. One of my favorite memories was of an afternoon at your home in the summer. We all went swimming; I stayed in until I "pruned". Perry grilled steaks; he was quite the "grill-meister", as the steaks were superb. I had been working so much, and it was a wonderful, relaxing afternoon. Perry was an inspiration to me as a father. He was so active and involed with the kids activities. He gave me encouragement that I too can survive my little "Energizer Bunny". He was down-to-earth, and did not put on any airs; he always made us feel welcome and accepted. We miss him and look forward to seeing him again. I don't understand why things happened the way they did, nor do I claim to understand what you all have been through these past months. What I do know is that we love you all and that you have touched the lives of our family. Thank you for who you are and what you mean to us Love, Drew, Ronda, Es & Sarah |

Perry Goad: Christian, Husband, Father, Son, Uncle, Brother-in-law, Brother and a good friend. One year ago on February 6, 2007 Perry left this place we call earth to be with our Savior. What has happened since then? First we went into shock or non-belief that we would not have Perry here with us. I will start with time sensitive things. We all surrounded Sharon and Perry’s three children with our love. Listening and crying with them. Sharon 1 is my wife and Sharon 2 is Perry’s wife. Sharon 1 directed me to get Sharon 2 to a place where she could begin to heal. Action Comfort the family business had customers, builders, vendor’s and employee’s that needed my attention and direction’s.
Sharon 2 and I went into action and with the help of Shay and Omar we were able to finish every single job that was un-finished. Perry’s HVAC license had 6 months from his death and they would expire. The business had to be closed down and we knew it. 23 years in business and a big part of Perry’s life but we knew that Perry was the business.
Selling Perry’s vehicles, tools and equipment was hard but we had to do it. Shay the oldest son was hired by a local HVAC company. Adam the youngest also worked for a local HVAC company & attends College. Kendra is in her 3rd year of College, plays Basketball does some student teaching and some part time coaching. Sharon 2 starts a new job the 1st of April. All three of Perry’s children are dating wonderful people.
Perry’s Mom lives in Tennessee and is 84 years old, she holds on to Perry being Christian and died serving Jesus. Perry’s oldest sister Barb lives in Chattanooga Tennessee. Perry’s younger sister Trish lives in Acworth Georgia. Perry’s youngest brother Larry lives in our birth place in Tennessee. Perry’s middle brother Eddie also lives in Tennessee. All of Perry’s brother & sisters are happily married and have children and grandchildren. All of Perry’s family was very proud of him and loved him very much.
Atlanta Journal Constitution is doing a story of Perry’s life and I just pray that the glory is given to God and that the story leads people to God. I also pray that everyone remembers that the story is about Perry and his love for Jesus. |

First let's start with the 23 year old family business Action Comfort Heating & Air. In the state of Georgia the Warm Air Card (license) expires 6 months after the death of the card holder. Perry was killed on February 6, 2007 so on August 6, 2007 the business was closed down for good. The love of Perry's life here on earth was his family. Perry's wife Sharon per my request is taking some time to heal before getting a job. Sharon is heart broken and misses Perry so much but she has faith that she will see Perry again someday. Sharon is a wonderful mother and she is involved in her children's life. Shay like his Dad works in the Heating & Air business with Green HVAC in Canton Georgia. Shay has a sweet young lady in his life and doing fine. As we all know the building business is slow but Shay will hold tough like his Dad would have and get through it. Kendra is in her third year of College, doing some student teaching, coaching basketball and yes she does play college basketball. Brent the love of Kendra's life also plays college basketball. Kendra just turned 21 and is so beautiful. Adam is also attending College and works part time with Pendley HVAC. Like his Dad and Shay, Adam works in the Heating & Air business. There are to many girls in Adam's life to name them all so I won't even try. Perry loved the Ford Mustang and so does Adam. God is with us! |
